This is a full-time position at the Eating Disorder Center of Denver (EDCD). Primary responsibilities include conducting the initial bio-psycho-social intake, creating treatment plans for individual patients, leading groups, conducting individual psychotherapy, and supporting the structure of a therapeutic milieu. Position works closely with the Clinical and Medical Directors. The successful candidate has experience working with eating disordered patients in both individual and group settings. This position requires strong clinical conceptualization of the treatment of eating disorders and dual diagnosis. Excellent communication skills, written and oral. Attention to detail, decision-making skills, diplomacy and objectivity are essential qualities. This position also facilitates discharge planning for transition of care to outside providers. A Master’s or Doctoral Degree in mental healthcare or equivalent education/experience is required. Colorado licensure is preferred but not required. Due to the specialty and sensitivity of the type of services we provide, Eating Disorder Center of Denver does not utilize volunteers in its clinical operations. While we often have individuals who want to volunteer their time, the confidentiality of our patients and the quality of their care is our first priority. Patient care is provided by trained staff members of Eating Disorder Center of Denver. Occasionally, volunteers may assist with non-clinical operations as appropriate.
