Current Openings

 Primary Therapist – Kansas City
This is a full-time position at the Eating Disorder Center of Kansas City (EDC-KC). Primary responsibilities include conducting the initial bio-psycho-social intake, creating treatment plans for individual patients, leading groups, conducting individual psychotherapy, and supporting the structure of a therapeutic milieu. Position works closely with the Program Director. The successful candidate has experience working with eating disordered patients in both individual and group settings. This position requires strong clinical conceptualization of the treatment of eating disorders and dual diagnosis. Excellent communication skills, written and oral. Attention to detail, decision-making skills, diplomacy and objectivity are essential qualities. This position also facilitates discharge planning for transition of care to outside providers. A Master’s or Doctoral Degree in mental healthcare is required. Licensure preferred, but not required. Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner – Kansas City
The Eating Disorder Center of Denver, LLC, is expanding its services. We are opening a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) in Kansas City. The Eating Disorder Center of Kansas City is hiring a full-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Daily duties include: performing psychiatric assessments, providing on-going psychiatric management of patients, providing patient education regarding side effects and efficacy of psychotropic medications, and interfacing with clinical personnel as part of comprehensive treatment team approach. Knowledge of treatment of eating disorders and co-occurring psychiatric disorders is essential to providing excellent treatment that is based on bio-psycho-social theories and evidence-based standards of care. Internships
Eating Disorder Center of Denver has filled our clinical internship positions for the entire year of 2014. Although we greatly appreciate interest in our center, we were simply overwhelmed by the number of applicants. Volunteers
Due to the specialty and sensitivity of the type of services we provide, Eating Disorder Center of Denver does not utilize volunteers in its clinical operations. While we often have individuals who want to volunteer their time, the confidentiality of our patients and the quality of their care is our first priority. Patient care is provided by trained staff members of Eating Disorder Center of Denver. Occasionally, volunteers may assist with non-clinical operations as appropriate.
