Ian believes that recovery is best served in a trusting, supportive, and experiential environment. He views his role as a consistent and encouraging support for patients’ exploration of their beliefs and values, and ultimately their authentic self. He combines his experiences as a competitive athlete and coach with his clinical training to create mindfulness-based training approaches for athletes struggling with eating disorders. Ian earned his Master’s degree in Applied Sport and Performance Psychology from the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Professional Psychology. He holds a BS in Organizational Behavior and Leadership from the University of Rhode Island and has completed numerous certifications through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Prior to joining EDC-D, he worked as an athletic trainer and a corporate wellness consultant.
