Keira graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and a minor in Law and Criminal Deviance. She later earned her Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology at the University of St. Thomas and is currently a candidate for LPC licensure. Since 2007, Keira has served individuals struggling with mental health and addiction concerns in residential, intensive outpatient, and crisis/triage settings. She was a Care Senior Associate at a behavioral health managed care company for over five years and has used her expertise to advocate for patients at EDCD since 2013. Keira is passionate about managing insurance issues for patients so they can focus 100% on recovery. When she is not navigating the exciting world of managed care, she can be found mingling with patients in the milieu, providing meal therapy, and facilitating the Dialectical Behavioral Therapy group. Keira is also active in the local community and is a board member of the Denver Metro International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP). Outside of work, Keira enjoys traveling, cooking, spending time with friends and family, and enjoying the outdoors.
