Lead Connections House Counselor
Rachel is passionate about helping individuals discover their unique identity apart from their eating disorder. She offers a compassionate, trusting, and consistent approach to treatment and values the use of humor in the counseling process. She also recognizes the importance of taking a holistic approach in working with others, believing that all aspects of an individual’s experience contribute to their overall wellbeing. As the Lead House Counselor, Rachel believes in the importance of facilitating a safe and comfortable environment in which individuals can practice new ways of coping and build healthy relationships with others. Rachel has a Masters of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Denver Seminary and a BS degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Clemson University. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, reading, and spending time with family and friends. Rachel is a native of South Carolina and while she misses her southern roots, she is embracing all that this beautiful state has to offer.
