"The milieu staff was amazing. I have learned and grown even more. I am very proud of my accomplishments, as well as the ability to recover from this disease. I appreciate a second chance. I learned a lot of skills and was able to overcome a lot of fears (especially with food). Janice V. was a wonderful therapist. Being in two different treatment centers, I was able to see what worked best for me. The groups here are amazing. The staff is great. Staffings were scary, but well taken. It was nice to be part of the recovery process."

| Amy Laurent, MD |
| Dr. Amy Laurent believes that a strong doctor-patient relationship is critical to healing. She promotes a mutually respectful relationship with patients, one where treatment decisions are made jointly between patient and doctor whenever possible. This way, not only are the patients’ best interests kept in mind, but the patients themselves are part of the decision-making process. In addition, Dr. Laurent believes that open discussion and thorough evaluation help determine accurate diagnoses and any role medications might play in a patient’s treatment. The doctor works to provide support and education that assists patients in gaining the insight and tools to manage their symptoms and ultimately their lives. Dr. Laurent obtained her undergraduate education at Loyola University Chicago and her medical school training at Michigan State University. She completed her residency in psychiatry at Banner Good Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona. Prior to joining the EDCD team, she had her own private practice in Scottsdale, Arizona. |
