Michael Maley, PhD
Dr. Michael Maley believes in the healing power of relationships and strives to help himself and his clients become closer to authenticity and connection. He believes that healthy relationships are empowering, mutually empathic, growth fostering, and that they motivate us to strive for more connection in our lives. Dr. Maley uses storytelling, myths, and metaphors in his work with clients to help them access the power in imagery in their lives. He has specialized in the treatment of disordered eating attitudes and behaviors since 2005 in college and university counseling centers as well as eating disorder treatment facilities. Dr. Maley also specializes in group therapy and in the treatment of gender-based violence and sexual assault. He holds a Master’s Degree and a Doctoral Degree from the University of Denver. Dr. Maley is a licensed psychologist in the state of Colorado.
